Leslie Pietrzyk is the author of two novels, Pears on a Willow Tree (Avon) and A Year and a Day (William Morrow). Her short stories and essays have appeared in many journals and magazines, including The Gettysburg Review, The Iowa Review, Shenandoah, The Sun, The Washington Post Magazine, and New England Review. She has been awarded fellowships from the Bread Loaf Writers’ Conference, Sewanee Writers’ Conference, Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for Arts, and the Hambidge Center. She is the founding editor of Redux, an online journal that features previously published literary work not found elsewhere on the internet. She is a member of the core faculty at the Converse College low-residency MFA program and teaches fiction in the graduate writing program at Johns Hopkins University. Raised in Iowa, she now lives in Alexandria, Virginia.
