Back in June, the Seattle Public Library and Seattle Arts and Lectures introduced the #NWBookBingo summer reading program for adults. Naturally, I dove right in, because I want to win those PRIZES! My goal is to get a complete blackout before the contest is over.
In case you can’t read my scribbling, here’s what I’ve got so far. (Before you get too impressed, some of these are still in progress. I’m usually reading about five books at a time, scattered all over the house.)
- Checked out from the library: City of Stairs
- From an independent bookstore: Foundation: The History of England
- Set in the NW: I Am Princess X
- Collection of short stories: Redeployment
- You own, but had never read: Don’t Know Much About the Civil War
- Prizewinner: All the Light We Cannot See
- Local author: Delancey: A Man, a Woman, a Restaurant, a Marriage
- Graphic novel: Here
- Young adult book: Rook
- Memoir: God Save the Queen Diva!
- Published the year you were born (gulp): Last Enchantment
- Reread: Cryptonomicon
- Recommended by a friend: The Girls of Atomic City
- From your childhood: The Princess and the Goblin
- You finish reading in a day: A Desperate Fortune
Word is getting out — Book Bingo was even featured on Huffington Post. If you haven’t started yet, there’s still time! Download your bingo card today and get reading. What have you discovered this summer with #NWBookBingo?
