Born in 1966, Jodi Picoult is one of the most prolific authors of adult fiction today. Her first experience publishing her writing came while she was still a student at Princeton – she had two stories published in Seventeen Magazine. After graduation, she held a variety of writing related positions including technical writer, copywriter and editor.
In 1992, Picoult published her first novel, Songs of the Humpback Whale. Since then, she has written 22 more novels (and counting), received countless awards and become one of the most popular and bestselling authors of her generation.
Some of her other projects include participation in the Writer’s Council for the National Writing Project, a program supporting charity fundraising through athletics, a New Hampshire anti-death penalty group, and a New Hampshire teen theater group. She lives with her family in New Hampshire.
