Born in Germany in 1966, Kerstin Gier is the author of numerous successful books for both Young Adults and Adults. Her 2009 Ruby Red trilogy (translated by Anthea Bell) has been especially successful in the United States and won the American Library Association Best Books for Young Adults Award.
Gier lives Germany and continues to write novels.
