Frank W. Abagnale (b. 1948) is an American security consultant who specializes in financial fraud, an area with which he has personal experience. When he was still in his teens, he began a spectacular life of crime that culminated in several years of jail time in three different countries. He may be one of the most successful and infamous scam artists in history. In 1980 he told his life story in the best-selling book, Catch Me If You Can, which has subsequently been adapted into Broadway musical and a successful motion picture, starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
